Research Interests:

We are interested in elucidating the molecular and cellular mechanisms that determine T helper cell fate decisions and functions. In particular, we are interested in understanding T follicular helper (Tfh) cells, which provide essential help for potent antibody responses, and how they are related to other T helper cell subsets. In ongoing studies we address the following research topics:

  • Cellular and molecular regulation of Tfh and other T helper cell subsets
  • Requirements for the induction and maintenance of Tfh cells and germinal centers
  • T helper cell diversity in mice and humans

The experimental strategies to address our research interests include multi-color flow-cytometry, single-cell genomics and systems immunology approaches, murine genetic and disease models, and patient-derived samples.
