Research Interests:

Using human samples, we aim at deciphering the molecular mechanisms underpinning T cell regulation by distinct tissue microenvironments, including determining key factors driving the sex-bias in immune responses.

Our research is divided in two fundamental axis:

  • Addressing how T cell function varies throughout life-stages from pregnancy to the elderly
  • Understanding the tissue- and cell-specific factors controlling the induction of protective versus pathogenic immunity

Experimentally, we combine detailed clinical information with multi-parameter flow-cytometry, microscopy, biochemical and molecular approaches, genetic tools and next-generation sequencing.
